WHAT IS THE NEXT GEN SUMMER SERIES?

Get ready to play, learn, and grow in the Norths Next Gen Summer Series! Designed for 13–15 year olds, this program is all about development, fun, and building connections. Players register as individuals and are placed into new teams each week, giving you the chance to experience different game styles, rotate through positions, and team up with a wide variety of players.

With experienced coaches on court to guide and support you, every match is an opportunity to strengthen your skills, boost your confidence, and embrace the spirit of the game. The Next Gen Summer Series is where future stars are made - join us and be part of what’s next for Norths Netball.

Series Summary.

  • Who can join: Open to players aged 13–15 years

  • Registration: Individuals only - no team entries

  • When: Thursdays 4pm-7pm

  • Team rotation: Players are placed into new teams each week, so everyone gets to play with and against a variety of teammates

  • Format: Round robin style games, ensuring all players get equal opportunities to participate

  • Game length: Two halves of 15 minutes, with a short half-time break

  • Sub rotations: Substitutions will be managed each game - series managers will ensuring balanced game time and fair rotations

  • Coaching support: A variety of experienced coaches will be on court each session to provide tips, feedback, and skill development advice

  • Focus: Development and enjoyment first, with opportunities to try new positions and styles of play

  • Duration: Term 4 2025 commencing 16th October

  • Venue: Norths Netball home courts - Woonona High School

  • Outcomes: Improved skills, new friendships, greater game awareness, and stronger connection to the Norths Netball community

  • Cost: $150 per player


Weekly Schedule.

Warm Up 4pm - 4.30pm

15 minutes of warm up including strength & knee program

15 minutes for a skill / drill

 

Games - 2 x 15 minute halves

 

Round 1 (4:30 – 5:05 pm)

Court 1: Team A vs Team D

Court 2: Team B vs Team C

 

Round 2 (5:10 – 5:45 pm)

Court 1: Team A vs Team C

Court 2: Team D vs Team B

 

Round 3 (5:50 – 6:25 pm)

Court 1: Team A vs Team B

Court 2: Team C vs Team D

  

Coaching Debrief & Advice - 6.25pm - 7pm
