WHAT ARE NETBALL CARNIVALS?

Netball NSW’s Association Carnivals are fun, fast-paced one-day tournaments where teams from clubs all over the state come together to compete, develop, and shine. Open to various age groups and skill levels, they’re perfect for gaining game experience, trying new combinations, and enjoying the team spirit that makes netball so special.

These carnivals are hosted by local associations and clubs and are an ideal way for players, coaches and families to connect with the broader netball community.

Who Can Enter?

  • Players from any team within the same age group can combine to form a carnival team.

  • The oldest player in the group determines the division the team will play in.

  • All players must be regsitered with Netball NSW.

  • Teams must be registered through the host association and meet Netball NSW’s guidelines.

  • Each team is required to supply an umpire and scorer.

Forming a Team for a Carnival.

Forming a carnival team is easier than you think! You can mix players from any Norths teams in similar age groups to create a combined team.

Just remember:

✅ The player with the highest age in the group sets the age division.

It’s important to note that the oldest player in the group determines the age division in which the team will compete—for example, if the oldest player is 13, the team must enter the 13s division, even if the majority are younger.

This flexibility allows players to experience playing alongside different teammates and can be a great way to build broader club connections. Norths Netball Club is happy to assist with forming teams, helping to ensure player numbers, eligibility, and coordination are all in order.
