Celebrating Our Norths Community: 2026 End of Year Awards.
As another fantastic season draws to a close, it is time to celebrate everything that makes Norths Netball Club such a special community.
Our End of Year Presentation is about much more than trophies and results. It is our opportunity to bring our Norths family together and recognise the people who have contributed to our club throughout the season.
From the players who take the court each week, to the coaches and managers guiding our teams, the umpires and officials who make our games possible, our committee working behind the scenes, our volunteers, parents, families and supporters, every person plays a part in making Norths the club that it is.
Norths is built around teamwork, respect, integrity, friendship, community spirit, effort and fair play. These are values we strive to promote across the club, regardless of age, grade or ability.
Our 2026 Presentation celebrations will recognise every Norths team, while also celebrating individual achievements, representative players, umpiring and coaching milestones, volunteers and those who have made an outstanding contribution to our club throughout the year.

Nominations for Our 2026 Club Awards Are Now Open
Our major club awards recognise something that cannot always be measured by wins, goals or ladder positions.
They celebrate character, contribution, leadership, sportsmanship and club spirit.
We encourage our members to think about the people who have made a difference this season and take the time to nominate those who deserve to be recognised.
Michele Harvey Club Person of the Year
All members can vote. One recipient will be selected for the entire club.
Named in honour of our club founder, Michele Harvey, the Club Person of the Year is one of Norths' most significant awards.
This award reaches beyond our players and is open to members from across our Norths community, including our invaluable volunteers and committee members.
It recognises someone who embodies the Norths values of friendship, community spirit, teamwork and respect, while going above and beyond to help our club thrive.
Think about the person who is always willing to lend a hand. Someone who supports others, contributes without expecting recognition and genuinely wants to make Norths better for everyone.
Nominees should reflect Michele's community spirit by promoting our values, helping grow our club and supporting our members in ways both big and small.
This is your opportunity to recognise someone who has truly made a difference to Norths in 2026.
Spirit Awards
Players vote for another player. One Spirit Award will be presented per age group.
The Spirit Award recognises the players who demonstrate what it really means to be part of Norths.
This isn't necessarily about the player who scores the most goals, takes the most intercepts or wins the most games. It is about the player who makes netball better for the people around them.
Who consistently supported their teammates? Who looked beyond their own game to cheer on another Norths team? Who happily filled in when another team needed help? Who encouraged others, showed great sportsmanship and represented Norths positively both on and off the court?
The Spirit Award celebrates encouragement, positivity, sportsmanship, teamwork and genuine club spirit.
Coach of the Year
All members can vote. One recipient will be selected for the entire club.
Members will nominate:
3 points to their first-choice coach
2 points to their second-choice coach
1 point to their third-choice coach
Our coaches contribute an enormous amount of time and energy throughout the season. Their impact goes well beyond teaching skills and preparing teams for Saturday.
A great Norths coach develops players, builds confidence, creates an inclusive team environment, demonstrates sportsmanship and helps young people develop a lifelong love of the game.
The Coach of the Year Award recognises a coach who has lived the Norths values throughout the 2026 season.
Consider a coach who has cared deeply for their own team while also supporting the wider Norths community. Someone who encourages players, assists other coaches and teams, represents Norths with pride and demonstrates exceptional leadership, commitment and sportsmanship.
This is our opportunity to say thank you to the coaches who give so much to our players and our club.
Rhianna McCudden Award
This award is nominated and selected by the Norths Committee. One recipient will be selected for the entire club.
The Rhianna McCudden Award recognises a member who has made an extraordinary impact on Norths, often in a relatively short period of time, They embrace Norths wholeheartedly and demonstrate our values through their contribution, attitude and support of others.
A key part of this award is recognising extraordinary resilience, courage and strength of character. It honours someone who has faced significant challenges or adversity, yet continues to show up with determination, positivity and commitment, inspiring those around them through the way they approach their journey.
This perpetual trophy was donated by the McCudden family in 2008 following the tragic loss of their daughter Rhianna on an overseas school excursion. An avid netballer, Rhianna's family created the award as a lasting legacy in her honour, ensuring her name and spirit remain part of Norths for generations to come.
Team Awards
Each team will be recognised with a presentation by their Coach &/or Managers. During the team presentations a representative will award a Players Player Award and a Coaches Award. These will be nominated and awarded by the team. Coaches & managers can use this form to collect votes for the Players Player Award or choose another way of collecting votes.

More Than Awards
While our individual awards are an important part of Presentation Day, the day belongs to every member of Norths.
We will celebrate our teams and their seasons, recognise our coaches and managers, acknowledge our umpires and officials, thank our committee and volunteers, celebrate representative and development achievements and recognise the milestones reached by our members throughout 2026.
Some achievements happen on the scoreboard. Others happen quietly at training, on the sideline, behind the scenes or when someone simply chooses to help another member of our club.
We want to celebrate them all.
So take a few minutes to nominate and vote for the people you believe deserve recognition in 2026.
